On Sunday 11 December, Carnforth Choral Society gave a concert in the splendid surroundings of Leighton Hall, courtesy of Susie and Richard Gillow-Reynolds (also patrons of the project).
The event was hosted in the music room, where Kathleen Ferrier once sang. The room was full to capacity and solo items were sung by Ron Bull.
Incidental items included poems from members of the choir and a duet about London buses from two of the men.
The event, organised by Joyce Bond of the AHORP and Choral Society, raised £335. The AHORP wish to record their debt of gratitude for all of the hard work involved and a memorable evening concert.
